How To Enable Cookies In Vivaldi browser

Vivaldi is a free, cross-platform web browser software developed by Vivaldi Technologies, a company founded by the historic co-creator and former CEO of Opera, Jon Stephenson von Tetzchner.

The browser aims to meet the connection needs of tech-savvy, heavy internet users and former Opera browser users who disagree with the recent transition.

Vivaldi aims to revive old Opera features, which were very popular, and introduce new and more innovative ones. The browser is regularly updated and has gained popularity since its first preview released on January 27, 2015.

Every time you visit a page through the Vivaldi browser, you will know which trackers are trying to load. Vivaldi will block them so that the websites do not track you. And, optionally, you can also block advertising.

You can also synchronize the content saved in your browser, something common in almost all browsers. For example, bookmarks, passwords, extensions, etc. The novelty that Vivaldi brings is the end-to-end encryption when it synchronizes this data.

To manage cookies preference in Vivaldi Browser, you can follow the steps mentioned below:

  • Tap on the Settings option and scroll down to find the Privacy option, click on it, and find the Cookie option. Click on the Cookie option, you will be presented with three options: accept all cookies, accept cookies for the session only, or never accept cookies.
  • If you want to allow cookies from all websites, check the option All Cookies.
  • If you want to accept all cookies but want them to be removed each time you exit the browser, check the option Sessions only. If you want to disable all cookies, check the Never option.
  • If you don’t want to accept third-party cookies, then click on the Third Party option and click on Block Third-Party Cookies.

Enable/Disable cookies for a specific site in the Vivaldi browser

If you want to enable or disable cookies for a specific site only, then you can do so with the following steps:

  • Open the website you want to enable or disable cookies.
  • Click on the Padlock button that you can view in the address bar and click on Cookie.

Hide Cookies Notification in Vivaldi

The Vivaldi browser has always stood out for its various privacy settings, including ad and tracker blockers that its users highly appreciate.

The developers of this alternative browser have now integrated a new feature that automatically hides annoying cookie dialogs.

The new feature, called Cookie Crumbler, is still in beta but can be tested in the newly released version 3.8 of Vivaldi, both on the computer and on Android mobile devices.

To hide cookies notification in Vivaldi browser, you have to:

  • Go to Tools and click on Settings. Then scroll down to the Privacy option and click on Trackers and Adblockers.
  • Then click on manage Sources and find the option Adblocker Sources.
  • Then click on Delete Cokie Notices.
  • This way, the website’s services that usually ask for the consent of cookies will be blocked just like a tracker or an advertisement. In other words: the cookie dialogs on the web pages will no longer appear.
  • Some websites may deny access or not function as expected due to the cookie banner blocker. If you want to get full functionality on these sites, you will have to disable Vivaldi’s ad blocker and, together with it, the Cookie Crumbler function.

Delete cookies in Vivaldi

In order to delete all cookies stored in Vivaldi, you can do the following methods:

  • Go to Vivaldi Menu, and click on Tools.
  • Scroll down and look for Clear Browsing Data, click on it.
  • Choose the time range for which you want to delete cookies.
  • Select Cookie and click on Delete.
